Lonu'l

Page under construction!
Lonu'l is the main continent of the plane Arim. The land is home to a collection of mortal and mordial life inhabiting its diverse environments.

"Lonu'l" is Eldarian for Land of the Living. Other continent's cultures have other names for it, but nearly all on Lonu'l call it by the original name which the Eldar people coined at the beginning of history. Some pockets of cultural groups who were here before the Eldarians call the land Em-Preem.

After the great floods which wiped out nearly all life in Arim, the survivors who lived at the top of the mountains on the island of Arksh sailed north to discover Lonu'l. It was here they created the foundation for all of civilization moving forward. After the floods, they were sure that they were the only ones left. Arriving on Lonu'l they discovered that it was brimming with life, and sought to make it their new home. Since then the people have drifted further and further away from the vision of a unified world, and over the course of history it has been plagued by violence insighted by the influence of others.

History

The beginning of time is marked by the oldest recorded writings originating from the Eldarians, but everything before then has been lost to time. These periods are known as the Rekiilin Era and the Lost Era.

Rekiilin Era

In the beginning it is believed that Adriel, the protector god of Arim, was born and shaped the world with his hands. He created both the mordial and mortal life on Arim to live under his protection. Life continued until one day Adriel flooded the world, and only pockets of life survived under the protection of other deities. The reason for the flooding is not clear, however it is commonly accepted that Adriel was betrayed by the mortal races and tried to userp his godhood. The great flood marked the end of the Rekiilin Era.

Lost Era

Not much is concretely known about the Lost Era, hence the name. All we have are legends spread by word of mouth that can be traced back to the dawn of written history and are assumed to have been from long ago. During this time the descendants of the human raced, the Eldar, lived atop the mountain on the island of Arksh in a small community which grew as the water receeded and the land rose.

1st Era

The start of the First Era begins when the oldest surviving writing was created. During a meeting between the leaders of the Eldar tribes, their mother goddess Pahjmi reveals herself in the court. She tells them that the world has been made new again and she commanded that they sail north to reclaim their Eden. The following years the Eldar people establish colonies on Lonu'l and the western continent of Chir. During this period they interacted with the mordial inhabitants of these lands and began to form states to govern themselves.

The Eldar eventually ran into the Darvi, who were once an advanced species who survived in underwater cities but lost their home sometime during the Lost Era. The two were peaceful at first, until the Thunder King Torrygg declared war on the Eldarian Kingdom of Byrthdom. The war unified the split Eldarian factions for a time to win the war and send the Darvi back to the west. Outside of that, the Eldar ran into groups of the Batremi who had sailed from the western continent of Chir. Little interaction between them occured.

States

History has seen several states rise and fall throughout Lonu'l in bloody wars and natural disasters. Most of the states around today can trace their origins back to a dead state.

Modern States (Major)

Tacor

The Empire of Tacor is located the heart of Lonu'l. Once spanning nearly the entire continent, it comes from a long line of states exerting authority over majority of the continent. It is home of the Stocort people. Recently it was shattered into civil war due to a succession crisis.
