Pyreridge

For travelers brave enough to make their way through the winding path in the Bronzebane Mountains from western Scorchburn will enter into the intense head and unforgiving desert of its eastern half. Just into the blazing heat lies a small city, the last safe respite before wandering into the sand. Buildings of stone litter the area, as do tents made of thick material. Much like anyone who resides in a harsh environment, the people of Pyreridge are a hearty folk. Skin of a darker bronze range is seen all around. There is an underground well from the nearby mountain range that provides water. Most food here is dried or dehydrated by residents due to the inability to grow anything in the desert sands. The vast populace leans more toward sentient humanoid creatures than humans themselves, making up more than fifty percent of the populace. Many travelers who first come to Pyreridge are surprised by the gnolls that live here. The gnoll clan from Scorchburn can trace their lineage back to a surviving clan of an attack by a baby blue dragon that was saved by the Deity of Lightning, Raiju, and was the same clan his medium came from. Most of the clan lives in Aurora however, and some still nomad through the desert wilds.
