Tamazee: The Land of Boats

The least developed of the countries of Breharan is definitely Tamazee. It is time to expand it. Wait no! I meant expand upon it! Put down your swords!

What We Know So Far

Everything about the nation of Tamazee is contained within its article. There are links to three other articles, all of which are empty stubs.   It is a nation with an island chain on the largest lake on the continent of Breharan and are known for their boat construction which became the model for skyships. They also control much of the continent's salt resources.   We also know that since the people are pretty much limited to living on the islands that they do not often come into conflict with the fae in the waters giving them a much different perspective on them than say the people of Bral.

Possible Writing Topics

When nothing exists, the possiblities are endless, almost too endless, so it will be good to have a few ideas to get started. So, here are some ideas - in no particular order.
  • A political leader.
  • A sailing or fishing tool.
  • An important spiritual figure.
  • The biggest salt mining and trading company.
  • Origin myth of the islands of Tama and Zee.
  • A myth about a fae.
  • The Mother of the Sea.
  • A disease not native to the region.
  • An item of mythological status that location is known.
  • The person who designed the Harani.

Anime Circa 1989

So I have a bad habit of rewatching things instead of watching new things. It wouldn't be bad but I really rewatch things significatly more than seeing new media. Been watching three episodes of Stargate a week for almost two years now, started the first Thursday of 2023 and will finish on the third Thursday of 2025 - at least that is with friends so it is also a social activity.   So another friend and I started watching Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, an anime from 1989. It involves flying machines, adventure, and mystery. It isn't Linebound but it has definitely caught my attention as a piece of inspiration.

Also Conan

Oh, and I started reading the Conan comics from the 1970s. Less Linebound related but still fun. More importantly, new to me. The genre too, I have never really read sword and sorcery before.

Writing on Time

Generally my goal is to write every day but I will inevitably have to take some days off. Either way I have been setting aside time this year every Tuesday night to do some writing and that will not change going into WorldEmber.   With my articles getting longer - and often better - than ever, it should be no problem to write ten thousand words this December.

Stub Article

This article is just a stub for now and will be expanded upon later.

Old Article

This article was written in the past and does not meet my current standards for any number of article quality, layout, or content.

In-Progress Article

This article is being worked on, perhaps not at this very moment, but it is being worked on.

Goals for 2024

I have really dropped the ball on my two ongoing goals of completing stubs and reading articles. This all began when I went on vacation and didn't have a computer for a few - very busy - weeks. Even so, I am happy to have done half a year of those goals - and even read 84 articles from other's Summer Camp entries.
Complete one stub each week (except the week following a big writing event).
Participate in Summer Camp.
Participate in WorldEmber.
Read three articles from other authors each week.
Write an interactive adventure for Adventure April.

CSS Changes

I took some of the CSS I have been experimenting with on another world and implemented it here on Linebound. The adjusted search bar and beginning of the homepage have been altered. I also created a new header image for the world which has replaced the default article header and the title text on the homepage. I think the homepage may be a little bit too bright right now but it is better-looking than it was before.

Where the Time Goes

I have started a new D&D game. I didn't think I'd ever be starting another D&D game, instead using other systems, but here I am. All of the players are new to TTRPGs but we have had fun so far. Hoping to keep the action going and keep them hooked for many sessions to come! On the other hand it is a weekly game - my first in a long time - and that takes up some time for prep otherwise spent elsewhere.
