Prifeeri - Diver's Shirt
A Prifeeri is a type of single-piece dressing item that is widely used by the Sea Elves of the Kingdom of Heim, especially those that work out onto the sea (such as fishermen and divers). This piece of clothing is so important to these people, that the government of the Central Islands state has a Prifeeri drawed on its flag. It is, therefore, a symbol of the people that live in this region.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The Purple Sea Leaf and the penguin feathers are used to acquire buyoance, which can be controlled by compressing or decompressing compartments filled with air that are knit onto the clothing. The cedar bark (the feathers help a bit as well) provides heat insulation and is also used to hold the entire thing all together.
History
No one really knows when the Prifeeri was invented, or when the Sea Elves began wearing them.
Significance
This piece of clothing has an immense importance to the Sea Elves culture. Afterall, it provides insulation, adjustable buyoance and hydrophobicity to fishermen and divers that hunt and collect bellow the surface of the water. While using a Prifeeri, people can stay a lot more time under water, as well as control their vertical swimming a lot better.
