Masanori Wada (マサノリ ワダ Ma-sa-no-ri Wa-da)
Born on August 7, 1976, on the small island of Megijima, Masanori Wada was a child of neglect. His father drowned himself in drink, while his mother—both masochist and sadist took pleasure in striking her son. For Masanori, love was never given freely; it came only in twisted forms. He learned early that strength was the only shield against cruelty, a lesson that would define the course of his life.
His first years as a salesman and in the worker force were unremarkable until he discovered boxing. The discipline gave him purpose, and the ring became his escape from his past. By the late 1990s, his career had blossomed: ASBC Champion in 1998, WBA Asia Champion in 2004, and further accolades in the years that followed. Yet, his greatest victory came in 1995, when he married Souka, the woman who brought light into his life. That same year, the birth of their twins, Nori and Oda, anchored him in fatherhood. In 1998, their family grew with two more sons, Raiga and Akuro.
When the family moved to Yorichio, Masanori founded Wada Corporation first a modest security firm, later transformed into something darker. With former yakuza and ex-soldiers as his inner circle, the company’s work drifted into illicit enterprises. His fists, once raised for sport, now enforced power in Tokyo’s shadows. Behind the company’s growth, however, lay buried secrets. In 2005, his son Oda vanished. Publicly, the disappearance was a tragedy privately, it was a wound Masanori himself inflicted. Believing Oda, born a blue oni, unfit to inherit, Masanori locked his own child away.
The weight of his choices shattered the family. Souka grew bitter, her joy broken by Oda’s absence. Nori, once devoted, turned away in horror after discovering her father’s hidden crimes in 2015 corpses buried by his own hand, and the truth of Oda’s captivity. Yet, even in rebellion, his children carried his name Raiga, and Akuro all served as executives of the Wada Corporation at different points, caught between loyalty and resentment.
Masanori’s life is further marked by the burden of Permanent Heat. Born of yokai blood, the Wada family carries a flame that never fades a constant, supernatural transformation. Though it grants Masanori terrifying strength, it also forces concealment. His true form, that of an oni, remains hidden except before those he trusts or when concealment is impossible. For him, this condition is not triumph but curse a reminder that his power isolates him, and that his family’s legacy is inseparable from inhumanity.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
He’s broad-shouldered and solid, the kind of man who fills a room simply by standing in it. His skin burns a deep crimson, smooth and stark against the sharp gray of his hair, which sweeps back with only the faintest touch of disorder. Two long horns rise from his forehead, carved and commanding, lending him a presence that feels heavier than his silence. His suit is tailored sharp, pinstripes running clean across the fabric, the cut precise enough to sharpen the outline of his frame. A marbled tie draws the eye, bold against the black shirt beneath, while a small pin at his lapel glints like a quiet badge of authority.
His face is carved into severity, the weight of discipline pressing into every line. His expression never softens, not with warmth nor amusement just a steady, immovable anger about to errupt. There’s power in the set of his jaw, in the way his gaze fixes forward, unflinching and unmoved, as though nothing could shake the ground beneath him. The single stud in his ear is the only concession to ornament, a small flash of individuality that doesn’t undercut his presence, but reinforces it. Everything about him suggests restraint, the kind that doesn’t need to be explained. You can feel it in his silence, in the way his very stillness speaks louder than most men’s words.
