The Order of the Arlos Shield
Created around the same time that Arlos fully converted to a religious city state, the Order of the Arlos Shield is tasked with the incredibly simple task of functioning as the armored law and order of the city state. With Lerieras and Paladins equally part of the ranking of this order, and relaying all actions to their senior leader, the order follows the exact laws of the country and the temple that governs them. It is the responsibility of every member to follow the law with the same loyalty and courage as their superiors demand.

History
There is a presumption that the Order of the Arlos Shield may have been formed just before the conversion of the city state, as there are parallels in their history to the noble priests who acted as the conquering force that overthrew the initial City State leadership. Since then, the Order has expanded to include all militant Lerieras in Arlos and any willing polis who wish to act as Paladins in their service. They serve the City State first, above all else.
