Cerescian
Among the oldest of Okean’s people are the Cerescians, a species of psychic creatures attuned to the planet’s Undercurrent. They were known as the Silent, the Many-Tongued, and the Omen-Callers, though the third name only came after their small interaction with Coronian society. They once lived in Undertow, though tensions between their culture and the authority of the Crown of Corona meant they could no longer stay in their homeland. They can now be found in small pockets around the world, continuing their lives as they once did. The brave have found tiny communities among those outside of their species.

Shared customary codes and values
A Cerescian’s lifeline is their "lure," which glows when it is channeling or exposed to psychic energy. Because telepathy is their primary method of communication, most Cerescians value silence and solitude to better help hear thoughts. Cerescians were once so reliant on their psionics to communicate that to hear one speak aloud was considered a great measure of trust and respect. In modern times, however, Cerescians are feared for their psychic powers, and most are raised with the expectation that they rarely use them.
"Our lures are delicate, you see. If they are damaged, it's like being blind."
Cerescians hold an innate understanding that their psionics are to be used to aid instead of harm. In environments that allow them to flourish, they often take the role of spiritual guides or clairvoyants. They’re known for being polite yet impatient, as they tend to already know what somebody wants before they begin conversing. When speaking, Cerescians prefer to get to the point.
It’s unknown where their obligation to guide comes from. Professor Jynx of the NWS-Atlas has noted that their behavior bears an unusual resemblance to that of Eden’s aeons, who also bore the gift of psionics. She theorizes that the culture of the aeons lives on in the Cerescians, who are unconsciously practicing a similar culture.
