Where lots of Levis shines in the visible spectrum, the yellow gilled hunting eel is much more of a UV wonder. With long stripes of UV-active 'colour', these eels stalk the reefs and rock outcroppings of the oceans and mangroves of Levis.
With 3 sets of sharp, backwards pointing teeth, the hunting eel is entirely carnivorous, with quarry that includes small fish, crabs and crustaceans.
Larval hunting eels are coastal, living in small groupings called swarms. Swarms of hunting eels are opportunistic, hunting many creatures that even larger eels could not take down.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Found in the Digitos Mangroves, Oceanus region, down the reefs running south from the Sunken Isles and around the areas of the Nocturne Empire, the Yellow Gilled Hunting Eel enjoys reef beds and rocky outcroppings, content to stay low to the sea bed and out of sight of predators and prey alike.
Biologists have well proven evidence of the eel's above average intelligence. Most notably in its rudimentary tool use (the construction of catching traps).
