The bleeding mountain
Within the mountain range that splits the kingdom of Solaris exists the Bleeding mountain. A tall peak within the range, it is a structure composed of sheets of granite layered with sheets of iron-oxide. Prone to rockfalls, the mountain tends to shear along the face of the more brittle iron-oxide. Those within the kingdom see the mountain as an unholy place, bringing forth the echoes of the unspoken god and casting the shadow of stone and blood over the landscape and the nearby towns.
The bleeding mountain has had quite a few serious rockfalls, burying at least two smaller outposts in hills of falling granite, the names of the towns lost to time. These were during the calm years, when Solaris sought to expand its populace and network out its people across the landscape. While pathways now lead towards the mountain, spirits of the dead and the stone now stalk the foot of the mountain and lead to even less travel than ever before, and the bush below is slowly claiming the way to the mountain.
Further complicating things are the unnatural winds around the peak, that make Dreadnaught travel close by into a thing of sheer danger, resulting in more lives lost before the nature of said unnatural omens were discovered. What confuses historians is the obvious presence of the human mine within the side of the mountain, a symbol of union between the humans and the stone that the people of Levis have never really under

I am just thinking of the winds carrying the scent of iron and rust. Creepy.
