Petticoat tea
For after dinner when humans might need to lace their undergarments.Over many a dinner, rich foods may be eaten. This in turn may lead to bloating or feelings of dis-ease. To combat this, the people of Levis, especially those that live in and around the Forbidden Forest have at the end of their nightly meals a drink called the petticoat tea. A sweet citrus drink made from the macerated fruit and the sun-dried leaves of the Krakyarran tree, this drink enhances gut health by settling the acid levels and introducing leaf born microbes that aid digestion. The Krakyarran fruit has an almost menthol cooling effect in the aftertaste and this transfers to the tea. Many diner find themselves soothed by this effect, and barring human consumption Petticoat tea enjoys inclusion of eucalyptus leaf to heighten sensation. In the summer months, the tea can be served chilled, making a lovely end to a hearty meal.
Gourdfire ant
These are a form of honeypot ant native to Levis. Their bulbous butt produces a liquor that is perfectly matched to sweeten the Petticoat tea. When not used in the tea, the liquor has lovely anti microbial properties that make it useful in salves and apothecary potions. The ants themselves like to hang around the Krakyarran tree clusters, and can regularly be seen running up and down their barks with their translucent abdomens with visibly swirling liquor inside. In rare cases the ants can metabolise magic from the air, giving the 'honey' magenta swirling and abnormal healing qualities - though such healing should never be relied upon.
