Levis Fashion- pt 2 trends
Across Levis, fashion has had a few trends immaterial of material or location. These fads and trends tend to grow the idea and community of peoples across the lands.
Bard-voch
When people travel, so do the styles they encompany. With bards being a group of people often looked up to in the manner of attraction and physicality, of course their mood and the fashion choices they would encompass would come to sit in as inspiration for the people. The first prominent feature of this style of fashion is the use of side-ties over open skin. The fastenings are usually of the hoop and knot style, using between 3 to 5 strings lacing from just below the armpit to the waist on a top, or from hip to ankle on a bottom. Bottoms using this style have either a drawstring waist or over the shoulder loopings, like the reader's suspenders, but minus the elasticity. The style itself tends for a messy casualness, with flowing sections where there often should not be. This style being one of the older ones, has had several subtypes. During the calm years, this style tended to include padding implanted across the hips and stronger more grown fabrics in bright opaque colours. Just after the formation of Solaris, the style was more intent on the inclusion of body piercings, and large elaborate circuit tattoos. And currently, the style encourages bare arms and lots of wrist and ankle jewelry in homage to the bard Deluna Vesperine.Cloaks and status
With the existence of Circuit tattoos, the status of the cloak as a thing has been relegated to that of the hard working field mage, or those without magical ability and training. From thick layered cloaks of the travellers south of Vertus, to the dry-bone cloaks of those of Oceanus and the coastal regions, Levis cloaks are a show of grit and hard work away from the high towers and lofty libraries of the mages. Across the ages, the styles of cloaks have changed, but one thing that has not has been the customisation of cloaks, and their hereditary nature, passed down between siblings and friends as they age, gaining little stitches and stories, until the cloak a person wears is as unique as their community. Adults will usually trade or construct their own cloak once they reach full maturity, and will gain little stories upon it as the wet seasons pass by them. Hoods were a staple of early calm-times Solaris and the northern landmass of Levis, with often mis-coloured stitching, to brighten the silhouette of the cloak wearer, while human era lower Levis (Vertus and below) tended to have a single back 'vent' for added movement.

I love cloaks as a fashion statement/status symbol - that's a glorious idea.
