The Ancient Language

The Ancient Language in Levelia is a foundational element of magic, predating recorded history and believed to have originated in the Age Before. It is a universal lexicon that binds reality, each word carrying immense power. Speaking the Ancient Language with intent invokes its magical properties, making it a tool of creation and destruction. However, this power is not without peril.   Much like the system in the Eragon series, the Ancient Language in Levelia enforces strict truths: any statement spoken in it must align with the speaker's will and reality. Attempting to bend or manipulate the language for unintended purposes can lead to catastrophic consequences, such as misfires, unintended magical effects, or even harm to the caster. Experimental uses of the language are rare and dangerous, as even seasoned magic users risk unraveling themselves or their surroundings when tampering with its boundaries.

Origins and Usage:

The Ancient Language predates all recorded history and is used exclusively for casting magic. Only a few individuals and organizations, such as the Church of the Divine Dice, have access to its teachings.
