Trial of the Origin

History

First introduced by The 9 Serpents to the riders as a means of unlocking their power/origin. The ritual has been practiced ever since with no major changes.

Execution

Once a year during summer every community in Kochazatsi kingdom gets visited by the Elder riders, looking for 7-year-olds to test. In the evening of the trial, they all gather in open space area (meadow, hill etc.) dressed in a traditional ceremonial clothes. Each of the kids has their hair tied up in a way that makes the back of their ears visible. The participants get seated in a circle with some of the Elder riders, while the rest of them readies mixture of secret blend of herbs and dragon spit called Sieloii. When prepared to start the ritual, the Elder riders ask the young to hold each others hands with forearms facing upwards. Then one by one, spread the [hkh] on their necks, right on the spine. This place was chosen due to the spinal cord being the highway of the neural system which all of the roads lead to. The blend acts as a trigger and start reaction in their bodies. Those of them with slightly more than usual amount of Nernem in their bodies will experience marks appearing on their forearms, glowing. These kids are able to do magic. Others with more Nernem than them get marks behind their ears as well and can become Dragon riders. Unfortunately, children with no marks will not be capable of doing magic nor becoming riders.
