Leoram

A thousand years ago and more, Leoram was a world ravaged by sorcerers vying for power. Their seemingly godlike powers and their petty conflicts brought the planet to the brink of destruction. In the wake of the Mage Wars, mortal society banded together to take control of the world.   Now sorcery is a controlled practice. Those born with the gift for sorcery, and those with the talent and will to learn it, are subject to the authority of the Charter School of Sorcery. Yet there are free mages still in the world, and they seek to liberate those whom they view as their brothers and sisters in bondage.   Meanwhile, the peoples of the world live under the threat of the Plague of Undeath, a supernatural phenomenon that creates hordes of creatures singlemindedly focussed on the destruction of all that lives.
