Ekh Berru
The city of Ekh Berru is the capital of the kingdom of Cadman, and its largest city. The city is the seat of the palace, the Council of Nobles, and the main location where most of the technology manufactured in the kingdom is designed. Located in a vast underground cavern, the city is extremely well defended, and is almost impossible to find unless you know what you are looking for.
Demographics
All Cadmanians. High percentage of nobles and soldiers, high percentage of servants. Smallest percentage of street orphans in the entire kingdom.
Government
Answers directly to the king or a representative if the king is absent.
Defences
Underground, with only indistinct clues as to the location that are only visible to those who know what to look for. Great blast doors into the city, require a unique password. Hidden traps all around the doors. Secret exits known only to the citizens.
Industry & Trade
Many soldiers, servants, and tech designers. Imports all food supplies, metals, clothing and fabrics, and jewels. Exports tech and designs for tech.
Infrastructure
Wide roads, with triangular shape design. An excellent sewer system. The entire city is underground, with vast networks of artificial lighting to create a semblance of day and night. Also has an artificial weather system to create a semblance of reality in an underground city.
Assets
Technology design centre. Where most of the kingdom's wealth is stored.
Guilds and Factions
Most of the city is loyal to the king and the Council of Nobles, though some street gangs answer only to themselves.
History
Originally built aboveground, the city would move underground in one hundred years due to extreme sandstorms on the surface. Over time, the technology in the city advanced to make life both easier and safer there.
Architecture
Stone buildings, usually low and wide. Dark houses, but brightly painted doors. Many stained-glass windows.
Geography
Below a desert. An underground river runs through the middle.
Natural Resources
Some fish in the river. Stone from the cavern walls. Some gems found in the desert above.
