The Eldest Son
He was the first of Ymerah's direct spawn, and tasked with leading those who come after, and protecting those born on his father's world. He saw everything they did not, from what lies deep enough below to what lies far beyond. He was tasked with keeping it hidden, for now. Hidden from the lesser things which his father had created before him. To aid him in this, Ymerah created six more beings of similar power and scale. All seven of them combined called themselves the Aeturan. For a time, they served their purpose, and protected the lesser beings from that which they were not ready to know.
Father of Sin
He watched his father craft more worlds beyond, but failed to understand why. He looked upon the lesser things, and failed to understand why he must protect, and ultimately serve them. He tried his best to do so as his father instructed, but could not see why, if his father's cration was so perfect, that it needed protection. With these thoughts, he grew bitter. He mockingly called these lesser things "Mortals". His father requested he give the mortals a chance. To guide them. However, he had no interest in anything his father said. He and his siblings decided it would be the mortals that served them. He and his siblings presented themselves to the mortals, and demanded they bend their knee. They were rejected, and the mortals stood firm with Ymerah. Outraged, he and his siblings sought to destroy the mortals for their defiance. However, he could not simply destroy the mortals outright with his own hands. To do so risks damaging, or even destroying his father's world. If these mortals were to fall, it must be done by far more precise methods.
He would turn the mortals against each other, and would cause them to wipe each other out. He did so by instilling a dark form of thought within the mortals. A sense of false superiority, which would cause conflict among them. This dark thought was called sin. This specific sin was named Pride. and this is the name he took for himself. Pride's own sin inspired that of his siblings. His younger brother crafted a method of direct aggression between the mortals, which was named Wrath. His next brother created a desire to hoard beyond any satisfaction, which was named Greed. His sister created a perversion of the man and woman's intimacy called Lust. His next brother created a desire to consume, which was named Gluttony. His next brother refused to contribute to the cleansing of Pride's world, and in his inaction created his sin, called Sloth. The youngest of the Aeturan desired the power his elder siblings possessed. It was in fact, his desire for that which he did not have that became his sin, which was named Envy. The sin they had planted corrupted the Aeturan's souls, and warped their physical appearance, perverting their prior perfection.
All these sins would succeed in their purpose. They turned the mortals against each other, and stirred conflict between them. The only race which they could not corrupt was the dragons. In light of this, the Aeturan planted one last seed within the Mortals' minds. An irrational belief that the dragons were evil, and must fall. The only race they could not convince of this was the Draconin, who quickly became the dragons' defenders. Ymerah would confront his children as to why his creations now destroy each other. The moment he saw the twisted wickedness which the Aeturan had turned themselves into, he had his answer. The Aeturan all lashed out at their father, but instead were banished into the next realm; into the next void.
A New World
It is in this next void which the Aeturan would craft yet another world. A world free of the mortal filth. A world that would be greater than the Old World. Just like his father, on the previous world, Pride would build a sphere of fire, and stone, which would serve as a blank canvas for his siblings. He watched as his new world was crafted, and eagerly awaited its completion. Once their world was built, the seven Aeturan would leave their world for a time so it may flourish on its own. They returned to see the same mortals which they left behind on the Old World, as they called it, roaming their new world. Much worse, the mortals seem to have made this world their home, going so far as to name it. They called the new world Eternity.
Seeing these mortals rapidly expanding, and covering their world, Pride placed protective measures to prevent any further expansion. He placed a storm that surrounded the three landmasses which the mortals infest. Once again, he could not simply wipe the mortals off his world without damaging his world further. When he confronted his father on this, Ymerah told Pride how the sin they created, and spread at random had corrupted their world to the core, and brought it to the brink of collapse. He told Pride how he was forced to move the mortals off of the Old World, and onto the only other world in existence.
Pride and his siblings would once again corrupt the hearts of the mortals. However, this time, the sinful seed the sow will be much more precise, will demand organization, and will affect far fewer far worse. It is these few who doom themselves and give in to the temptation can wield the power of the Aeturan, and will cause great destruction, and will wipe the mortals off the face of Eternity. Once these dark men and women have outlived their purpose, the Aeturan's dominion over them will allow them to simply extinguish their souls, removing what few will remain from what will soon be a perfect world.
