The Most Beautiful Creation
Crafted by her father, Ymerah, she was by far his most beautiful creation. She took a particular liking to her elder brother. Her gentle nature contrasted against, and yet blended perfectly with her elder brother's total strength. She watched as her three younger siblings were crafted, and knew that soon, they all would partake in a great project. She watched as her eldest brother crafted a sphere of stone, and fire. She watched as her next elder brother pulled what he called "mountains" from the crust of this sphere, and told her how these mountains are a blank canvas for her to craft whatever she sees fit. She watched as her next elder brother filled this crust with all manner of metal, and jewels that would alter the physical properties of the world itself. She used all of this as the basis for her own creation.
She created light, and color, and covered the world in all manner of plant life, creating a natural beauty that reflected her own. Her younger siblings all created their aspects of their world, and pushed their great project ever closer to perfection. However, in order for their world to reach the desired perfection, they would have to leave it for a while, and allow it to flourish on its own. And this is what they all did. They left their world, and would return to see not perfection, but rather a glaring imperfection.
Mother of Debauchery
She, and her siblings all returned to their world. instead of seeing a world complete, and fully grown, they saw a writhing mass of lesser things, which their father had created. Her eldest brother named these things "Mortals'. A disgustingly fitting name. She shared the same views of her elder brothers, seeing the mortals as an infection which must be cleansed. However, she would not make as direct a rout as her elder siblings, who harnessed only anger, and sorrow to sow the seeds of destruction. She would weaponize pleasure instead of pain.
She looked upon the mortal men, and women, and the intimacy that was shared between one man, and one woman. This is where she saw her sin. She looked upon the beautiful closeness that was shared, and perverted it into something hideous. She planted a desire unto both man and woman to force themselves upon the other sex, to give themselves to the same sex, and to give themselves to both sexes. This sin was named Lust, and this is the name she took for herself. The sin which she crafted warped her once perfect, and honest beauty into a form that was in fact hideous, but pretended to be beautiful. A sort of non-beauty that played into the sin which she had crafted.
Soon, her father returned to see his world in flames, and his children warped into something nearly unrecognizable. Before he could ask any of his children why they had done this, they lashed out at him. And one by one, all seven of them were banished into the next realm; the next void.
A New World
Upon being banished into the next void of a realm, Lust looked upon her elder siblings, and the careful thoughts of her eldest brother, Pride. Pride explained to Lust how this void in which they now reside is identical to the void that was the previous realm before they crafted their world. This shows that rather than obsessing over their now tainted Old World, they can craft for themselves a new one. The idea showed great potential in Lust's eyes.
She watched as Pride crafted the crust of their world. How Wrath pulled mountains from said crust, and how Greed filled in with all manner of gems and precious metals. Once again, Lust filled her world with light, color, and all manner of natural beauty. Once again, her younger siblings brought their world closer, and closer to perfection. And once again, the only way this perfection could be achieved was if all seven of the Aeturan left their world for a while, and let it grow, and flourish on its own.
It is during this time away from their world that the sibling love between Lust and Wrath became something far darker. A further perversion of the intimacy which Ymerah had created for the mortals. Wrath and Lust had their own intimate relations, and from these relations they brought forth a dark spawn. A being consisting of pure sin that grew stronger in the presence of all sin. It rapidly grew in power, and surpassed that of all seven Aeturan combined. All their combined power was only just enough to banish this new malice to the edge of the void where it would take thousands of years to return. But it would return none the less.
Within a few hundred years of leaving their new world, the seven Aeturan returned to their world to find a disgustingly familiar sight. They saw the same mortals who walked the Old World now defiling the new. They had even named their world. It was a disgusting name, whose mere sound reflected the barbaric nature of the mortals. They named this new world Eternity. All seven of the Aeturan confronted their father on this. Ymerah explained to all of them how the sin they cast out through the Old World brought it to, and beyond collapse. He told all seven of the Aeturan how he was forced to move the mortals from the dying Old World to the new. He made it clear that the Aeturan could no longer directly harm the mortals, as the mortals were his creation. Likewise, the Aeturan sealed their father off from direct intervention with the mortals. It was their world, and was theirs to rule.
However, the mortals, through their actions and souls could break through the restrictions of either one by seeking the other. If a mortal gave in to temptation, and sought more, they would be led the Aeturan. Likewise, if the mortals turned their faces away from sin, and sought the objective good, they would be led to Ymerah. Ymerah weaved wonders of magic, and indirectly aided the mortals in their righteous pursuits, pointing them towards himself. Likewise, the Aeturan planted temptations to turn themortals away from their father, and to lure them into their demise.
The mortals would serve as the tools, and weapons of both sides. Those who sought out, and accepted Ymerah would receive the powers of the divine, and would use them to save other mortals from the Aeturan's deadly temptations. Likewise, if one gives in to temptation, they will receive the dark powers of sin, and destruction. The mortals that fell into either side formed their own churches, and cults. It is these churches and cults that served as the fronts for the war that soon ensued on this new world. This war was named by both sides, the War of the Aeturan.
