Child of Vastness
Among all seven of Ymerah's children, he was the most vast. This was not a harmful vastness, as it was accompanied by great physical, and mental capability. This mental capability manifested in a near unrivaled imagination. An imagination that was put to work long before his hands. As his father crafted his younger siblings, there were millions of ideas ripping through this vast being's vast mind.
Eventually, his father would do so, and would make his children's greater task known. He was told his purpose was to protect the lesser beings from that which they were not yet ready to learn and harness. A rather dull task compared to the ideas in his mind. He wanted to create things as great as that which his father created. He wanted to forge worlds and make them perfect. But, this was his father's command, and thus, he will carry it out. In his duties, he felt incomplete, untested, bored.
His eldest brother proposed an idea which he found quite appealing. While it did not allow him to employ his power and imagination, it readjusted his role in this realm, and potentially allowed him to pursue such goals later in life. His eldest sibling claimed that the protection which they give was its own form of servitude. He was the first to be convinced that it was the Aeturan who should be served.
The Great Consumer
He was among the first to present himself to what he and his siblings now mockingly call the "Mortals" as their new overlords, demanding their servitude. The mortals rejected the Aeturan, stating that Ymerah was greater, and therefore more worthy of worship and service. Outraged, he wanted to lash out at the mortals and destroy them entirely. But his eldest brother tempered his rage, and told his younger siblings that this was a matter that demanded precision. To outright destroy the mortals risked damage to their father's world and incriminating themselves in the eyes of their father. Such risk is reduced if they let the mortals destroy themselves.
His eldest brother demonstrated such by crafting a dark influence which he called "Sin". He saw his eldest brother name his sin "Pride," and take that name or himself. He watched his next elder brother do the same with his Wrath, then Greed, than his sister's Lust, and now it was his turn.
He planted in the mortals, a desire to endlessly consume. This is after all, the only thing they did. Why not weaponize it? The mortals would continue to consume, and consume beyond any measure of satisfaction. This sin was named Gluttony, and this was the name he took for himself. As well as planting this new sin, Gluttony would plant disease, pestilence, and famine. He created lesser beasts to carry this pestilence, and cause this famine. He created draught, which would cause the spread of famine. Among all his siblings, Gluttony dealt the most damage to his world. In creating his sin, he perverted his own form, and warped it into something dark. His physical form reflected that of his sin
Eventually, their father, Ymerah would become aware of the sin, and destruction that has all but engulfed his world. He saw the death, and the sin. He saw the new and dark forms his children had taken. He looked upon them with only sorrow. Before he could ask his children why they did this, all seven of them lashed out, and attacked him. All seven were banished from this realm.
A New World
All seven of the Aeturan were cast from their father's world, and into the next realm, into the next void. The six younger Aeturan were thrown into a rageful tantrum whist Pride sat in contemplation. He told his younger siblings how this void was exactly like the void that made up the previous realm. As such, it can become a home for a new world. Many of the younger siblings were convinced, and one by one, they contributed to the efforts regarding the creation of a new world.
It was Pride that formed the crust of the new world. Wrath pulled mountains from this crust, Greed filled it with all manner of Gems, and metals. Lust added light, and color. And Gluttony covered the world in all manner of plant and animal life, creating a delicate balance. It was this balance, which he had dominion over in this world. He desired nothing short of perfection. However, in order for it to be perfect, it had to grow, and flourish on its own. The Aeturan left their world so it may do so, and they returned to see it soiled by the same mortals which soiled the Old World. These mortals had made the new world their home, going so far as to give it a name: Eternity.
All seven of the Aeturan demanded their father tell them why this happened. Ymerah explained to all of them that the sin which they had sown on the Old World compromised its stability, and led to its collapse. Ymerah announced how he had also placed his hand on the mortals, making the direct interaction with the mortals impossible. The Aeturan, using their dominion over their world sealed their father off from their world, preventing his direct interaction with the mortals. However, Ymerah's dominion over the mortals as their creator still allowed him to communicate with them, to advise, and guide them, should they be willing to listen.
The Aeturan would plant external signs of their sin, would create temptations that would lead the mortals to defy Ymerah, and would decieve them into leaving Ymerah's hand. This would make them vulnerable to the Aeturan's influence. However, if the mortals reject this temptation, and submit themselves willingly to Ymerah, they become his servants, and become a member of his army.
Thus, the War of the Aeturan began. The mortals formed churches in Ymerah's name, and cults in the Aetuan's name. These mortals would fight this war, and their eternal fates would be decided.
