LoE 3.1: Introduction to a Juxtaposition
We open the arc by splitting the group up, a little.
Tatum is on the way back to Minos Base, escorting
Kevin Hart. He’s in the company of
Lili Hamilton - she and Tatum apparently have a “thing.”
The slightly modified team, consisting of JR,
President Andrews,
Sarah Barrett,
Elle Meyer and @Kestra accompanied by Adollo to head for the Elder’s home. Enroute, they head into an electromagnetic storm and take refuge in a secret underground route shared with them, reluctantly, by Adollo.
They come across a small forest in a caldera and by the reactions of Adollo and Kestra, as well as what they know about life on this planet, it should not be there. The trees are quasi crystalline in nature. While attempting to flee the storm, the vehicle had taken a hit and it needs to be repaired while in the caldera. Nora and Taylor work on the vehicle while JR and Sarah guard it. Nora picks up an alien intelligence, and several dog sized ant-like creatures attack them, but the ant-like creatures are defeated; they seem to have no fondness for JR's dagger and its light properties.
Completing repairs and then getting some scans of the phenomena, the crew heads onward and manages to make to the Chief Elder’s place on time. His home is habitable for humans. Supper time is boooorrringgg, but necessary. Nora somehow enters the realm where the Elder and other Elders are communicating and they invite her to talk with them. She gives them the real stuff that happened, including the alien intelligence. The Elders are impressed by her.
The Chief Elder informs them that they will trade access to the site for a few jobs, the first being that the team gets intel on the phenomenon taking place at the caldera.
