In -223, the Jump Gates in the Majestic system stopped working. It would be over two centuries before the Resoni would leave the system at faster than light speeds.
The Great Disconnect is considered Part 1 of 2 events that precipitated the Long Night, the other being the Xin Attack on Home 4 months later.
