Benefits

You are able to see clearly up to 60 feet in areas with no sources of light. Although you can clearly discern shapes, all color is seen in shades of black and white. You still cannot see anything that could not normally be seen with normal sight (invisible creatures remain invisible to you, hidden creatures still require you to perform a Perception check,, illusions still appear real, and so on). Seeing through darksight allows gaze attacks to affect you in areas of darkness. Sources of light do not interfere with darksight.
