The Return of Frontier’s Shadow Lord
The return of the shadow lord is a key turning point in the setting. It begins Blue Oni's chance to prove herself and take her first step into a wider universe. Most of her past actions helped build up her allies and skills she will need against her first major threat. This is a test on who she is and what she represents. Through this challenge Blue Oni changes from being a tool of the truth seekers to becoming a threat that the greater universe becomes aware of.
Plot points/Scenes
The Attack:
The attack is the first event in the plot as a group of soldiers infiltrate and attack the base that houses the network core of the frontier sector shadow network. Using this base to steal incriminating data on all truth seeker operations and even a back door into the main operations of the truth seekers in AGO Space. With this secure the soldiers prepare to escape and leave the truth seekers blind by shutting down the network to cut off their reponse in the frontier sector.The Mission:
Yasuke interupts Blue Oni's training to bring her to the counicl in order for her to hear of an urgent mission. Once in the council room she hears of her mission and targets. With their info she sets her sight to a space station that is at the border of the frontier sector sitting near the border of the AGO and the Commonwealth. If this mission goes south it can bring the AGO and Commonwealth down on her before she could escape.Themes
Masks are a common visual as it plays to hide the identity of those under it. Both Blue Oni and her targets wear masks and she has to pretend to be other people as if she's wearing a diffrent mask to deal with others.
Structure
Exposition
The Begining of the plot introduces the problem that occurs cause of an attack to steal valuable information. The Mission briefing fills in the stakes and sets up who these individuals might be. During the preperation for the mission allies are contacted and plans are made as the situation is further expanded before the mission truly starts. So the world and setting of the core story is set and ready to get going.
This was a really nice, concise way of breaking down a scene. I like the little notes you have, almost like reminders of this is important such as the theme about the masks. It's all laid out in a way that I can just see how it'd all go, broken down into the bare bones. Which is sort of the point, eh? Quick and concise. Beautifully done.
