A Vampire: The Masquerade V5 story.   Their sires were neonates thrown into the deep end of Roman undead politics with a domitor in a far off land who gave very vague instructions.   They are seasoned ancilla, a nomad family taking advantage of the lawless state of the far frontiers of civilization, still remembering the glory of the bathhouses of Rome itself, like a half-forgotten dream in the faint memories of their living days.
