The Microcosms housing the refugees of the Thristfyr open, allowing them to enter into the Eternal Endeavor.

During the Thristfyr the Eternal Endeavor was sent on hundreds of mercy missions. These missions usually entailed saving the populous from extinction or genocide. These refugees were taken into the Eternal Endeavor and were moved into microcosms to ensure their safety and to allow their societies to be rebuilt. Some of these peoples served the Archivist order. After the Thristfyr they were given the choice to leave. Those who stated had their microcosms locked so that the Archivists could concentrate on finding the answers they sought. As the millennia passed the barriers that kept the microcosms in place began to degrade, eventually allow the microcosms to open. Some of the peoples within had forgotten their history, whether through the passage of time or by the deliberate action of their ancestors.
