Riarcosbridge
The Riarcosbridge is the largest bridge in the city of Angeleor. It connects the parts of the city on the northern and southern shores of the river Vadion and is also the main access point to the castle, which is built on an island in the middle of the river. The bridge allows one of the main north-to-south trade routes in Eleonis to cross the river. This makes it an integral part of the infrastructure in both the city and the whole kingdom.
Initially, the bridge was constructed from wood to make it collapsible in case of an attack on the castle, but with attacks becoming increasingly rare, House Angeleos and city authorities eventually decided to commit to a more permanent structure. The bridge was then rebuilt from stone mined in the Silver Mountains and has been standing strong ever since.
The stone arches of the bridge are made tall and wide enough to allow the standard river trading ships to pass beneath. The larger ships that traverse the seas are able to sail up the Vadion until the trade harbour in the west of the city, where wares meant to go further up the river have to be loaded unto a river ship to continue east.
Given that trade routes on land and water cross in Angeleor and that ships need to transfer their cargo to other ships here, the city has, in part due to the existence of a bridge, become an important trade hub for the kingdom of Eleonis. This has also lead to a number of taverns and inns springing up in the city, among them the famous Riarcosbridge-Inn.

Before the end of the Great War in 1115 CE, the Riarcosbridge did not have a specific name and was instead simply known as the bridge of Angeleor.
This changed, when Lord Riarcos Angeleos defeated Laethis Soanis in single combat and thus ended the war. Riarcos was declared the new King of Eleonis but died from his wounds soon after, before he could even return to Angeleor.
Riarcos' son Ealdir was crowned King of Eleonis and renamed the bridge in honour of his father. Since Riarcos was now venerated as a hero of Eleonis, the name caught on right away and is used to this day.

I imagine a blend of the Devil's Bridge in Germany and the Medieval London Bridge.
Thank you so much for your like and comment! The London Bridge comparison is pretty accurate to what I imagine, minus the buildings on top. The Devil's Bridge (assuming that we're thinking of the same one, there is a surprising amount of bridges by that name in germany) doesn't come to mind for me, but it's cool that it is for you.
