Born in the poorer neighborhood in Balinor, Calvus had to steal food and gold to help his family survive the rough times. As an adolescent he started selling loot stolen from houses on fairs and markets. He started playing a (stolen) lute and performing to prevent the people from considering the origin of his wares. Nowadays his performances earn him enough to minimize thievery.
