King Torren
The Crown of Latani
Torren is the demigod son of Sheeran and current authoritive ruler over the continent of Latani. The imposing figure of Torren stands more than 8 feet tall, not including his five thick, curved horns that give Torren his respected title of "The Crown of Latani". Of the grey, stone-like horns, one runs up the bridge of his nose and forehead, two at his temples and two further back on his head. Torren himself has thick blue-grey skin that many also describe as "stone-like", he also has four arms thanks to his ancestry to both the Zeva-Notham and the the goddess Sheeran, two at the shoulders and two more at the sides of his upper chest. Although unlike the Zeva-Notham, his arms are thick and muscular, with with 4 pointed fingers on each hand. Torren has a wide head and neck to support the heafty horns on his head, with a slitted nose and reptilian eyes with a glowing blue hue. Torren's body is covered in scars, burn marks and other noticable injuries, including his horns, with the upper right horn having a quarter broken off during his initial usurpation, and his middle nose horn snapped off at the tip during the War of Flesh and Scales.
Torren has been described as a very kind, friendly and humble person despite his size, power, status and uniqueness as a demigod. His intimidating figure and high status seem to put people off when he greets his guests with a hearty welcome and the fact that he doesn't act as regal as his title would surmount. In fact, Torren disagrees with many practices associated with kings and other rulers, he never wears fancy clothes or jewelry, he discourages bowing, and he never accepts offerings or money. The only time he puts on an intimidating facade is with those who threaten him or with those who do not agree to peaceful relations, though some believe that his friendly nature is the actual facade considering what he has been capable of doing with just his wrathful words. Those who know Torren best do not agree with such an observation, and instead note a heavy air of sadness, regret and anxiety that can be felt when around him, mostly because of his experiences in war, of which he has been directly involved in three and has witnessed countless others during the Conflict Era of Latani. The War of Flesh and Scales also killed his son and crippled his daughter, along with the deaths of many of his close friends and the countless people who looked up to him, all of which he continues to blame himself for. Torren's worst fear is that of another war, which is why he tries so hard to be on good terms with everyone he meets.
Considering Torren has been alive since the Age of Faith more than 1500 years ago, many question weither or not Torren and the other demigods are functionally immortal. According to Torren himself, demigod powers and energies come directly from the gods themselves, and since the gods have made themselves absent for so long, Torren and the other living demigods have slowly been aging normally more and more, as well as their powerful abilities becoming less potent. Still much more powerful than anyone else on Latani, but definately weakening as the decades go on. Torren's own demigod magic consists of a unique light blue energy, which Torren focuses in his hands and feet to levetate and fly. He can also use this energy to create blades and desructive orbs of energy to cut down and obliterate foes, but his most famous ability is that of a blue laser that gathers and fires from just above his head in the basket of his curved horns.

Personal history
Being a demigod, Torren's history begins during the early years of the Age of Faith. Torren's parents were Sheeran, Quintalasist godess of balance, and a Zeva-Notham named Deksez. Torren quickly gained a reputation for being one of the most powerful and respected of the demigods during the following centuries, taking the title of the demigod of wisdom and leadership. People would often pray to Torren for knowledge during diffucult times, kings and other leaders would pray to him for guidence on how to better rule over their people, and even simple prayers to remember certain things would come to him. When the Demigod Massacre pitted all the demigods against each other, Torren was one of the ones who tried to convince the others to stop fighting, but eventually joined later and managed to kill the two demigods Kara and Incineous. After the massacre ended, Torren and the other survivors went into hiding, waiting for a sign or a signal from their godly parents that never came. Torren eventually emerged many centuries later after seeing the state of the world continue to decline into war and death, without a proper unifying voice of leadership, Torren stepped up to fill that role. After trying for a few years to establish law and positive relations as ruler instead of a deity, he eventually paved the way for the First Reform, the first national change in society.
Torren's new rule managed to bring the attention of Torren's half-brother Ledoux, another demigod survivor from the massacre. Ledoux lusted after the power that such a position might bring, so he spent time re-establishing himself in the world as a deity to be worshipped. Eventually Ledoux gathered his followers and staged a coup against Ledoux so that he may take the position as a king. After a few battles Torren surrendered the throne to Ledoux so that no more innocents would be put in danger, a decision he later regretted after Ledoux established the Second Reform to place himself in supreme power to subjugate and kill whoever he pleased. When the humans arrived during their banishment from Seroma, Torren was among the first to arrive and help them adjust to their new surroundings. When Ledoux declared the humans a threat and declared war on them, Torren was the first to take up arms in their defence, and with his leadership he rallied the many disheartened people of Latani to fight back against the tyrannical rule of Ledoux. If it wasn't for Torren and his newfound role as a leader for the people the war may have turned out very differently. After Ledoux's defeat at the end of the War of Flesh and Scales, Torren re-established himself as Ledoux's national ruler, creating the Third Reform and the most peaceful era Latani has seen in centuries, that has lasted to the current day.
