Calendars of Lapheran

The calendar and work week is different from our own (obviously). Usually differences in naming or based on condtions of the world (e.g phases of the moon, seasons.. etc).    

The Dwarven Week and Calendar

  Days of the Dwarven Week:

1. Grimgalday
2. Orlkonday
3. Stalactite
4. Goldforge
5. Aleday

The Dwarven calendar consists of only two months, they're all dictated by the temperature in their underground stronghold. There is no fixed ammount of days, because the temperature of caves could fluctuate and change within a day. So, the dwarves have only two months, those months being

1. Deepforge
2. Brightstone

The Elven Week and Calendar

Days of the Elven Week:

1. Moonday
2. Starday
3. Sunspark
4. Leafday
5. Windweave
6. Raindrop
7. Starlight

  Elven mythology connects them to nature and the weather, their months are based on the seasons and stages of the season  

1. Springdawn - The beginning of Spring
2. Springbloom - The middle of Spring
3. Springrain - The end of Spring
4. Summerlight - The beginning of Summer
5. Summerheat - The middle of Summer
6. Summerbreeze - The end of Summer
7. Fallleaves - The beginning of Fall
8. Fallfrost - The middle of Fall
9. Fallevening - The end of Fall
10. Winterfrost - The beginning of Winter
11. Winterdark - The middle of Winter
12. Winterlight - The end of Winter

 

The Fracian Week and Calendar

  The Sylvanians are a humans that intermixed with Elves for generations. Living in close proximity to the Elves has given them the idea for a 12 month year and a 7 day week.

2. Thuleday - Thule is a saint of the Church of Helior.
3. Wyrmday
4. Albansday - Alban is a saint of the Church of Helior
5. Driftmoon
6. Wedday
7. Helior's Day

The months are named after saints in the Church of Helior. They're arranged this way, because these are the months those saints were born in.

2. Month of St. Edward
3. Month of St. Cedric
4. Month of St. Magnus
5. Month of St. Lysander
6. Month of St. Kynan
7. Month of St. Gurnar
8. Month of St. Aldric
9. Month of St. Darian
10. Month of St. Godric
11. Month of St. Rodrick
12. Month of St. Dohannes

 

The Fjordling Week and Calendar

  The Fjordlings are a mix of human and dwarf, kind of like the Sylvanians, and like the Sylvanians did with the Elven calendar, they have adopted the Dwarven calendar, with their own alterations.

1. Solte (Sun Day)
2. Regndag (Rain Day)
3. Stjernle (Star Day)
4. Vinddag (Wind Day)
5. Öldag (Ale Day)

  The months of the Fjordling calendar represent the four seasons, they are as long as the season itself.

1. Iskvell (Winter)
2. Glaerun (Spring)
3. Solmåned (Summer)
4. Hrafnmánuður (Fall)
