Rynwael Arches

Any Rynwael is capable of transporting a person from one arch to another simply by having the person step through on one side and instantly stepping out on the other. The passenger simply envisions the other gate they need to appear at and they will be transported there. One caveat exists however, the person using the Rynwael must have already physically traveled to the destination Rynwael or be in physical contact with at least one person who has. In ancient days of old, it was a common event to have a 'World Tour' led by a designated guide to induct new elves to the Rynwael network.   Since the fracturing of the Mava'Valia Empire the use and knowledge of the Rynwael network has vanished. Many of the current existing Elven societies have at least one Rynwael in their possession, but no one is capable of traveling the network. Each small community of elves who know the true purpose of the arches does not make any attempt to reconnect the network out of fear of potentially repeating the mistakes of their ancestors.   Unique Rynwael exist that can not only transport a passenger to other arches but also to other dimensions or metaphysical states. One such example is the Mawa'Rynwael used in the Trials of the Wéané'Elle which will force anyone into a sequence of alternate realities the first time they step through the archway. Many who try to complete the trials end up unable to escape the reality within and become trapped, never to appear again. Those who complete the trials, however, can safely pass through the arch without impediment.
