Tenets of Faith

Before the world existed, there were only the primordial gods: Raya, her sister Metra, and Skeinor. Raya and Metra created the world together, building the lands and mountains, plants and grasses, woods, rivers, lakes and seas. Raya smiled and crafted the creatures, the animals, birds, insects and fish that she would send to the world she and her sister had built. Skeinor, the Lord of Winds and Storms and her husband, was jealous of the world she had created. Before Raya could send her creations to the world, he created a great storm that covered the whole world. The storm kept Raya from seeing her creation or speak with her sister who had made her home within the earth of their creation. Her son, Eoa the Rainbow, ended the storm of his father and brought his mother's creations down to the world, and life began upon the world. Enraged at this betrayal, Skeinor banished Eoa from the heavens and took from him his immortality. Raya wept at the loss of her son, but rejoiced that the Land was alive with the creatures she and sister had created. Unto her son Raya gave a final gift, a great wand made of unbreakable crystal and shaped as a prism. She watched as Eoa shined his heart through the crystal prism wand and the light created the High Races, now long gone. To honor her son always, she continues to smile upon the world she and her sister created, home to her son.
