The Legend of the Toads

The myth of ascending to heaven like almost every hero does. In the old days, heroes used to pick their element and level up to about 60-90 and become an angel with their element. A hero named Captain Toad had red wings symbolizing fire, and had a insanely powerful blade.   (Aria belongs to me, and these versions of the characters also belong to me)

Summary

Basically, the hero that is Toad mocked Materia, Aria's goddess/mother and Materia tried to put Toad in his place, but Toad obtained the power of other heroes and deities to take down Materia. Materia surrendered, and Toad let Peach claim her throne as demigoddess. Other people also got the throne.

Historical Basis

No historical basis other than overthrowing of a tyrant. Materia was looked at as a tyrant on one hand, and a savior on the other. No one truly knows why or how.

Spread

This myth was known by everyone as ''common fate of tyrants.'' and ''Ascension'' came into play.

Variations & Mutation

This myth was originally told by the scribes of Elder Toad in his palace. Others added the angelic ascension to the myth and elemental angels were transcribed.

Multiple cultures sprung up and told this tale in their own ways.

Some collection of myths and diary entries from heroes, and stories were collected into one of the 5 rulers' diary.
