Supporting Us

So, you want to help the community grow?
That's great news! So here's what you can do about it.

Invite Friends

So, this may seem patronizing to put here, but it's literally the most simplistic and easy way you can help the community grow. Just strike up a conversation about our games and world with your friends. If they are interested hand them this link: https://discord.gg/nnZVCS4   This one too may seem patronizing. But I get motivated by seeing the stuff I make it getting put to use. Comment on the website, interact and use it. That will motivate me to expand and improve it. By the same token, we have a Minecraft server, I'd be thrilled to see more people playing there. The MMO Dungeons and Dragons Online is another side thing I would like to get more people in on, because no only does it give people a chance to work together more but you may be able to recruit players from there to join us here.

Monthly Costs

It might make sense to have this further down, but given the size of the patreon section I figure it much easier for myself and for you if it's up here instead of a mile down there.   As of July the current costs are as follows:
Office Suite $15
Dyno bot $10
DDO$15
Humble Bundle $15
World Anvil $15
Dashlane $10
This gives us a total cost for August of about $80.

Patreon

Now with that all out of the way, let me give you the Patreon link then explain what each of the Patreon ranks includes. https://www.patreon.com/shorlas

This is a simple alternative to Patreon with all of the same benefit tiers.

Twitch

Now we get to Twitch. I am going to be just as blunt and honest here as I have in the previous sections and it's going to sound cynical.
Monetarily Twitch is the least beneficial way to support us.
When you send me $10 via paypal, I get roughly $9.51 because paypal takes 2.9% and $0.30 from each transaction.   When you pledge $10 to us on Patreon I get roughly $9.01 because Patreon takes 5%, then Paypal takes 2.9% and $0.30.   When you send $10 to my Twitch either by subscription I get roughly $4.60 because Twitch takes 50%, then paypal takes it's 2.9% and $0.30. Bits don't have this steep cut on my end, but it's pretty harsh on your end.   That being said, I originally started Twitch as a way for players to watch/listen to games they are not in, and to advertise with the hope we can pick up some random players through. When I landed Affiliate I thought it would be a nice way to enhance our income passively. You can watch an ad, send bits, and it's a few cents. Or if you have Amazon Prime you can use your free Prime subscription on our channel and we make a few bucks at no cost to you.   Given how steep Twitch's cut is I do not want this to be the primary means of supporting us. BUT I do intend to use it for our bigger one time purchases. Such as when it comes time to just outright buy a DM a copy of Fantasy Grounds so we don't have to keep paying the $10 a month subscription for it.   Cynical bickering aside(Seriously should I come back and rewrite this with more optimistic language later?).   Here is the link to my Twitch. https://www.twitch.tv/shorlas   Here is a link to the Tutorial to link your Amazon Prime to your Twitch if you need that. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=202096320   Also, if you are a fellow streamer, or used to be. It could be a great help if you would host/raid our channel when you are able. Even if you only bring yourself it's still something.
