Horizon Collective
The Horizon Collective was a registered political party within Union's Central Committee that primarily took the form of a decentralized network of activist cells that, while each motivated by any one of a wide number of (usually posthuman in some way) ideological frameworks, were unified by a central belief in the emancipation of all artificial intelligences (mostly NHPs, but also including comp/cons) from forced labor.
The Horizon Collective existed prior to the Deimos Event, being an advocacy group for artificial intelligences that they believed had become sufficiently advanced as to attain true consciousness, but the advent of NHPs and subsequent blurring of lines between "machine mind" and "person" allowed for a significant increase in size and influence.
