Greenfield Dynamics, by way of its overt partnership with IPS-Northstar, was viewed as far more legitimate in its wider operations by Rim outsiders than most other Enterprises. Their focus on providing fully above-board harbor services to transitory vessels, however, gave them a reputation as invasive outsiders among Rim locals, despite being founded and directed by individuals born in the Rim.
Focused more so on specifically station-based shipyards and harbors than stations in their entirety, GD's IPS-N partnership gave it priority contract to shelter IPS-N personnel transiting through the Rim, but also limited its commercial inventory to IPS-N-made parts and hulls. Its stations were also treated as the headquarters of the various elements of Trunk Security spread throughout the Rim, with every GFDY-owned station containing at least some presence of the security force.
