The Thirteenth Wall

  The Thirteenth Wall is one of the wall sections forming the outer layer of the First City. It is one of the walls with passages to the outside, which involves a protected gate designed to keep out both Ursa Major and Pillagers attacks. Due to its position near large forests which are rather hard to observe, the Thirteenth Wall has been on the receiving end of multiple Ursa Major stampedes over the years.   To better protect the wall, it is equipped with a variety of defense mechanisms. Floodlights allow for the surrounding area to be illuminated even during rainstorms, while specific noise sirens are present to distract Ursa Major stampedes and make them easier targets. The exact functionality of these sirens is covered in the ████████ file. The gates are also equipped with pitfall mechanisms, while the walls have obstacles that make it harder to climb. Furthermore, it is thick enough that even a rampaging Ursa Major will be unable to break through the wall.   On 19 February 32 YY, the Thirteenth Wall was partially destroyed due to a Pillager strike, which took place just as an Ursa Major stampede was approaching the wall. Through intervention of Major Valya Ymirborn, neither of these events came with fatalities. For her role in reducing the casualties through questionable methods, she was first investigated by a Court Martial, then received the Stalwart Cross as recognition of her acts of bravery.   The Thirteenth Wall is currently undergoing reconstruction, while temporary barricades and heightened security keep its area safe. Precise details on said security are classified, on account of high treason committed by active Defenders during the Fallen Wall Incident. The reconstruction of the wall comes with improved designs, to help fix the weaknesses exposed in its destruction.
