Superpowers

Mr. Flirtatious > Now I already gave you this warning in person, but let me put it on the record as well. Please beware any kind of physical exertion that involves other individuals. That includes stuff like lifting people, or arm wrestling, or honestly any kind of wrestling.   Ymirborn > Let the record note you are more careful with your insinuation than you were in person. Wink. Thank you for the reminder, I will act with care, even in private situations.   Mr. Flirtatious > In my defense, Val, I do have a reputation to uphold. But you do not get to flirt with me while I am responsible for training you. Play nice, please. And be careful. You can experience the equivalent of growth spurts at any time, so your new strength may uncomfortably surprise you.   Ymirborn > Will do. In turn, I do expect you to be an actual wrestling partner so I can verify my strength day-by-day. See you tomorrow, Dar.

Consuming the Superserum effectively grants so-called 'superpowers' over time. There are scientific names for these, but honestly, not even the scientists care for using those. They come in all forms but most summarise to various enhancements to one's body and senses.   The military has a lengthy list of individual superpowers, listed as 'most/all users'. And while the individual powers are actually interesting, and you can access specific dossiers by asking your supervisors for access, truth is, most of them are actively tied together. People don't develop an augmented bone density without an enhanced physique, or vice versa. It's a combined package.   When someone takes the Superserum, it will slowly be absorbed by their body. This will take time to manifest, which will not go as gradually as one might like. It can be rather compared to growth spurts. Thus, someone might find their grip strength suddenly is hard enough to break a glass, rather than being able to anticipate a gradual scale.   Eventually, though, this will platform at a stable level, maintained with fixed repeated doses. At that point, research starts to see if the scientists want to try to raise a Battle Spear's tier. This is a slow progress which will take years before reaching a final level.   If no serum is taken for a long while, the body will slowly lose the benefits, much like a lack of training will slowly reduce muscle strength. This process in itself has not proven harmful but is still not recommended, as a repeated swing in ability could in fact harm the body.   As for special superpowers, those are classified. Again, talk to your supervisor if you're nosy. Just don't expect too detailed an answer, even if you're developing any of them yourself. OpSec is considered the ultimate protection when it comes to this intel. Additionally, unproven hypotheses are only carefully shared, since a wrong assumption is likely to cause more harm than secrecy will ever do.
