It is hard to kill a god. Gods are the physical representations of abstract concepts. One can no more kill a god than they could kill love, or hope, or pain, or terror. So when Tiamat in her eternal war with Apsu gained the upper hand and unleashed a torrent of death and pain into her foe he did not die, only change.
Apsu crashed from the heavens, shattering through the boundaries of planes his divinity running wild, his consciousness fading a world was formed of the dragon. A land inhabited by countless races. On the back of Apsu's ancient not corpse kingdoms rise and fall, people love and hate, and legends are made and lost.
However, gods are hard to kill, and Apsu is waking up.
