The Fear was a phenomenon identified mostly in the lower class of Fjordstrond and Eldurgrund as the mainland Urrfolk began to encroach on human territory.

The mainland Urrfolk population had been rising for decades as they made their homes in the mountains of Laminarum. As the creatures became more territorial, many began expanding into small forests and burrows. Naturally, where there's fresh water and wood, villages are sure to be near. Eventually, and 8 footer was identified in a village south of Fjordstrond. Naturally, when a child went missing in the village in the following months, the Urrfolk were painted as man-eating demons. Word began to spread across the north, where no incidents had been recorded. All the same, the Urr once again became the subjects of slaughter.   Groups of villagers were sent to find the lodgings of any nearby Urr before sending word to the military. The anti social creatures were hunted with great success, being dragged from their homes and gutted in hopes of finding human remains. Records note that there was only one documented occasion of human remains being found, which occurred in the mountain ranges of Fjordstrond.
