Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated
"From the outside looking in, 'reeducation' seemed a dubious process. From the inside... we call it a necessary form of atonement."
While most rulers and organizations in Laminarum spend their days taking advantage of the laymen, those within the esteemed nation of Brillé use their power to benefit the masses. Amongst the nation's benevolent leaders, none have been so wise as Saja Maut himself, who used his resources to standardize education for his people. Thanks to this robust program, those who were led astray from the faith of Brillé can seekatonementschooling throughReeducationthe nation's clergy and instructors. Those of particular focus for our classrooms are Azberret worshippers and accomplices of wanted individuals during the War on Barbarism. As much information has been spread against Saja Maut and his establishment, we hope to providesinnersdoubting individuals with the proper knowledge to critically appraise Saja Maut of their own informed judgment. Thanks to pedagogical breakthroughs in the Clergy of Saja Maut, Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated has achieved a 100% success rate in itsagendagoals. The criteria for these goals includebut are not limited tothe following: literacy, artisanal skills, improved argumentation, and critical thinking skills. Through this program, Brillé will enjoy a more educated public and a safer nation therein. With the general public and problematic outliers receiving the proper understanding of Saja Maut, we may in turn serve him better. May we all praise His Pride and Praise Saja Maut.
"Where Truth Finds You"
Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated is a program created by Saja Maut, the dictator of Brillé, in his third official Diction.
Saja dedicated the facility to his mother who had passed away in the years before his ascent to power. Her stalwart dedication to education and calming demeanor made the name a perfect fit and comforting presence for students of all ages.
With regard to Ivet Maut's legacy, the school is a respectful reminder of her favorite mantra: that the people of Brillé should "learn right." Unfortunately, the resources for such a program were dismal in her time, but following her son's ascent to power and his "War on Barbarism," the program could finally be supported.
Today (ca. 1947 NG), the program is in full force, and several more compounds facilities have been established to meet an ever-growing demand.
Education in Brillé
Brillé's education system has been dedicated to the reassimilation of citizens alienated by the choices made by Ybal Saja during his divisive rule. Although Saja Maut (pictured to the right) initially sought to unify his nation through the War on Barbarism, it is now his goal to ensure that all those who would otherwise be viewed as the enemy could join the greater nation under his vision.
While most citizens learn everything a Brillén would need through experiencing the culture, many need a more direct guiding hand, especially with the recent influx of immigrants with the temporary opening of their borders. This is where Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated comes to settle the difference between citizens' behavior and the expectations of Saja Maut.
Within the school, students of all ages learn several aspects of Brillén culture; whether it be contemporary history, scripture study, or prophetic tellings of Saja Maut himself, no citizen is left behind.
Most subjects across the various studies focus on the seemingly impossible feats of their Pride Leader and his vision for the nation. Typically, Saja Maut is reinforced as a godlike figure alongside his ancestors while also painting a picture of the barbarism outside the nation's borders.
The final major aspect of the school is its behavioral studies, which delve into how to speak to guards, clergy, and politicians with proper tact and reverence (as well as the importance of reporting on fellow citizens).
Faculty and Staff
Education Staff
The education staff at Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated are some of the best minds in Saja Maut's regime, from blood mages to priests of the New Gods. Most education staff are privy to obscure blood magic techniques and retain access to the most esteemed private libraries in Brillé. While simply possessing a rank within the clergy or temples may be impressive, not every member can attain the position of an educator. Each and every educator has made some breakthrough in their field which can be applied to their students daily; they are masters of their trade and have the word of Saja Maut's every diction actualized within themselves.
Ovir, Professor of Behavioral Studies
Ovir of Akat is a clergy member of the New Gods. His claim to fame comes in the form of breakthroughs in memory studies: not only did he uncover methods to alter memories, but he also learned how to apply these discoveries to the therapeutic needs of his students.
As a professor of behavioral studies, he teaches alienated students how to reassimilate into their nation. Thanks to his research, however, the process has been expedited, allowing for students to abandon their dissenting behaviors, dissatisfaction, and lack of faith in Saja Maut.
Ivaran, Professor of Contemporary History
As a professor of Contemporary History, Ivaran is astutely aware of both her field and the fate that Saja Maut has graciously saved her students from. While she is no longer enlisted to instruct at the school, her past position allowed her to spread the good word of Saja Maut to the citizens of Akat, a city within Brillé. Not only did she gain a position studying blood magic, but she has now risen to head priest of the city after her predecessor's disappearance. However, as many of her old students return home, they continue to have good relations with their old professor, bringing her teachings into the real world.
Current Students
Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated is enjoying its fastest turnover rate among students in history (in no short thanks to Professor Ovir's research). Each and every student at the school is carefully selected for their
Ashar of Akat
Truly a testament to "students of all ages," this invested pupil hails from the city of Akat. Currently expecting a child within the next month, Ashar is enthusiastic about starting her education following the birth. Her student quote can be seen below and has been provided to any family remaining in Akat.
"After Vurin lost his social credit card, we were graciously allowed to regain one for him through Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated. While my husband has gone ahead to acquire his card and begin his education, I'll be joining him after our son is born. Truly, I'm grateful to be raising him in such a forgiving world. I extend my thanks to my city's vigilant guard and considerate clergy. Praise Saja Maut."
Kuran of Akat
Kuran of Akat, originally a troubled individual, was sent to Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated due to serious behavioral infractions. Allegedly organizing anti-guard "coffee talks," Kuran was deemed a danger to himself and others. Even going so far as to associate with individuals against the rule of Saja Maut, his local guard captain and head priest knew that action had to be taken.
Now, Kuran attends class enthusiastically and has come to appreciate his nation. Thanks to the ever-vigilant security staff in the facility, Kuran has even grown to respect the guards he hated most. While he may have originally been one of Brillé's more discontent citizens, one can hardly keep him from shouting "Praise Saja Maut" these days!
Alumni
Alumni of Ivet Maut's School for the Miseducated are typically relocated to other cities upon completion of their education. The mandatory relocation of students was declared the best course of action, as exposure to their old environment may persuade them back into their old lifestyles. Just as Saja Maut wants the best for those initially loyal to him, he hopes that all alumni of this school can retain their critical dedication to his just ideals. Vit of Shareen
Vit was a troubled resident of Shareen, the second largest city in Brillé. Under the less attentive rule of Osa Kinot, the current standing guard captain, many dissenting ideas have been allowed to spread. In order to cull the disease spreading within such a large community, many individuals have been sent to Ivet Maut's School of the Miseducated. Vit, while just one man, represents many individuals who were misguided by their ineffective leadership. Thankfully, they've mostly found themselves properly educated and redistributed to other nearby cities or villages. Lately, the citizens of Shareen have grown to understand the consequence of underappreciating the gifts of Saja Maut and the number of relocations has steadily declined for years.
