Herakashi

What are they:

Herakashi are a branch of evolution from humans that split around 500 years ago that gained the power of controlling elements. They stayed hidden from most of society by constantly effecting water currents and storms to prevent humans from discovering them until the 1900s

Appearance

Herakashi look like regular people until they activate their power in which they become humanoid version of their element

Abilities:

Elemental control: Herakashis can only control one element and there can only typically be one herakashi that can control the element.

Armour: Herakashis can create almost invincible armour with very few minerals being able to pierce it. This means the easiest way to kill a herakashi is to assassinate them while still in their human form.

Types:

There are two types of herakashi:

  1. Spirit given/primary: When herakashi die they have to choose a new person to take on the role on the primary herakashi for that element. Primary herakashi are significantly stronger than hereditary herakashi. Their power is typically kept in a crystal within their body and if it's destroyed then the herakashi will lose all their power. The crystal is located somewhere in the body.
  2. Hereditary/secondary: When herakashis mate two things could happen. If it's with another herakashi then the child will end up having a combination of the elements the herakashi controlled. If it was with another species such as humans or other humanoids then it will less power or have completely uncontrollable powers. Both types of hereditary herakashis have short life spans with the average life span being 32 and the longest living one was 43. Due to how long hereditary herakashi live, multiple hereditary herakashi can control the same element.
