Reproductive Magic

Carians, a very reproductive race of sentient vehicles, use a system called reproductive magic. It is sometimes colloquially called "wish-caused pregnancies", "wish reproduction", and other variations. This is a system used by all vehicular Carian Descendants except for one. A subtype of reproductive magic will be explained at the end of the article, as it is not possible for Carians themselves.

Carian: Progenitor race of the Carian Descendants. A distinct race made up of trillions.

Carian Descendants: Shorthand for the Carian Descent Race Group. It is a large, mostly vehicular racial group of biologically distinct beings. It has a small subset of humanoid races. Humanoid shifting Orians (a hybridized race with one parent race being Carians) and some racial descendants can procreate with certain humanoids using a-reproductive magic.

Passive magic means a form of magic that automatically occurs if you do certain things. Passive types often do not have physical tasks involved.

Semi-active magic assists in certain activities, i.e. sexual reproduction. However, the individual still has to do most of the work.

Active magic requires upkeep and/or effort to keep abilities it unlocks strong, but has a strong reward. It can be very risky, although this depends on the magic.

This is a passive form of magic created by the universal goddess, Myn-Cee, for Carian Descendants. It is solely for reproduction. There are no physical quotas you have to meet. However, there are requirements.

• Must be 16-35 years old to reproduce, although getting married at 16-19 is frowned upon. Your spouse cannot be six years older than you in adulthood. For teenagers aged 16-19 years old, their spouse cannot be over a year older.
• Must not be an immediate family member under any circumstances.
• Must be married. The rite will be below. It is possible to break it off.
• Must be a male and female couple. Especially with the six-month pregnancies.
• Must have a medium or high reproductive magic level. Low levels prevent conception. Thankfully, low levels are very rare, but do increase if incestuous marriages happen a lot.
• Must want children. If you or your spouse doesn't want a child, it doesn't happen. There is no true limit to how much offspring one can want. That said, twins do happen, so if you wanted one, you could end up with two. Twin rates are not affected by you or your spouse's wants.

Once romantically bonded with a partner, they cannot have any other romantic attachments or love interests. This is a unique effect of their reproductive system. Because of this, they cannot have polyamorous relationships.

Rites

• Marriage rite: “A bond forged by need and connection, a bond untorn. May we be blessed by Myn-Cee, and may generations come.”
• How it feels when activated: As if you and your spouse are being connected in the deepest part of you. A warm feeling spreading over your body and a sudden urge for romantic interactions.
• If a spouse dies, they feel the divorce effects but with less strong supernaturally-caused feelings. However, people who don’t feel much emotion get an empty feeling where that “theoretical string” is.
• Divorce rite: “Bond broken, tears in the deepest parts. Separate us, Myn-Cee, and protect us.”
• How it feels when marriage is being broken: Like that theoretical string is being cut. A brief stinging feeling in the chassis/torso for both exes. Disappointment. If it’s unexpected, crushing sadness often occurs. If it’s expected, sadness usually lasts for a few weeks. For someone who doesn’t feel much emotion, only the string-cut, stinging, and disappointment is felt.
• These rites work for same-gender couples. However, the marriage will not produce children even if both spouses want them.

A-reproductive magic

This is a semi-active subtype of reproductive magic. It can be nicknamed rather crude names in certain circles. Carians do not have this form of reproduction in humanoid shifted forms.

This is a reproductive system only active in humanoid shifted forms (genetic trait) in Orians (50% Carian, 50% Woreldian), Corians (Orian x Carians), Sivians (Carian x Corians), and Nokiqians (Half-Orian- 50% Carian, 25% Woreldian, 25% Lmentian). Orians can be attracted to humans, Corians to elven races, Sivians to various alien races, and Nokiqians to fairy races.

It is characterized by having sexual organs based on biological gender, a substance that is mostly biological material but has a semi-active form of reproductive magic in it too. It is generally easier for males to make hybridized races in sexually-reproducing elves, alien races, and fairies. Humans are the easiest to reproduce with. That said, Orian females do not have breasts in shifted forms because they are not mammalian.

This form bypasses the rites, as they do not work for non-vehicles. However, there are still conditions required to produce children.

• The race the individual is reproducing with has to have some form of sexual reproduction. More magical types make it difficult, while completely natural types may find the assisting magic helpful.
• Partner has to be the opposite sex. You know, as expected.
• They have to possess a high or high-medium passive reproductive magic level, and cannot be biologically infertile.
