Tianziu

The Kanchi clan

Established by Moza Kanchi who fought in the great wars earning his clan great renown. He earned favor with the shogun by providing a trading city in place of another fishing village. The new lord Haru Kanchi has had no heir with his past 6 wives and has had all of them publicly executed; this has led to many wondering if he is favored by the Kami. The lord of Haoshen is extremely angry toward the clan as one of Haru’s wives was his granddaughter.

The Population

This is the most diverse city in Kuhaku. The city contains every sort of person from wizard to barbarian, from lord to janitor, from human to Oni. If you can imagine a person, they exist and have a place in this city. While the city is still is mostly populated by humans, they only make up about 30% of the population. While the city does house Goblinkin and Oni they are still heavily looked down upon.

The Government

Haru Kanachi, runs the city, heavy emphasis on Runs. where most lords rule cities, Haru runs things. He makes sure that the trade center of the world runs smoothly. The city is patrolled by guard’s keeping people in check, creating the relatively safe state the city exists in. while legally the laws are very vague, in actuality things run as if it were run by a Moab.

The Military

Tianziu has a very small military presence. Because the great Narahidaka military is next door, Haru believes that he needs no great military presence. Many people agree with Haru and like it because it makes sure there is no military draft unlike most other parts of Kuhaku. Lacking a military leaves Tianziu in a vulnerable position, completely reliant on Narahidaka.

Commerce

Tianziu has the most fruitful economy in all of Kuhaku. Due to the fact that all trade routes must pass through the city, the trading business is constantly booming. Although it may seem as if the city will hold a monopoly forever, with the rise of sea travel, due to the new inventions of Pentang, Tianziu may be losing control over the market.

Organizations/Religions

Almost all religions have a temple of some sort inside the city. While all religions are permitted the patron Kami of the the city is Yamato (Gd of art). The Merchants guild runs out of the city. The smithing guild has its second largest ware house in the city, and is recognized as its base of public operations.
