Acomb

Acomb, located east of the majestic Eredorn Mountains—a small village nestled near the rivers that flow from their towering peaks. Acomb sits like a forgotten marker on the long road stretching north and south through Azarant—a place that should be bustling with travelers but instead feels eerily still. The village is neither abandoned nor hostile, yet something about it repels visitors.   The few travelers who do stop find no smiling faces, no warm greetings—only wary glances from behind half-shuttered windows and hushed voices that die the moment an outsider comes too close. The villagers do not drive travelers away, nor do they welcome them. Instead, they watch, indifferent yet ever watchful, as if waiting for something inevitable to happen.   There is no obvious danger, no threats, but the very air carries an unspoken understanding: You are tolerated, but you do not belong.
