Kantorobo

Kantorobo is a family Sheid worshiped by the Babala family. Like many family Sheids, Kantorobo takes on a more personal relationship with his worshipers, often speaking on familiar terms with the more devout members of the family.   In return for his protection and aid, Kantorobo often requests items be stolen and destroyed in a sacrifice to him.

Personality

Kantorobo is a chaotic sheid who takes delight in destroying order and sowing chaos. In many ways, Kantorobo is childlike, immature, naive and highly energetic. However, he has shown himself as being very clever, often coming up with solutions to help the family when they find themselves in trouble.   While he seems to be a trickster Sheid, Kantorobo is more accurately defined as a spirit of destruction. The blessings he provides his worshipers are often destructive in nature, and his favorite of devotion is not the acquisition of priceless artifacts, but their destruction.

History

Kantorobo first entered the Babala family's history 425 years ago. At the time, he was but a small insignificant Sheid. His history before approaching the Babala family is largely unknown.

Yedimid Babala and the Wheel of Carys

The ancestor of the Babala family, Yedimid, originally came to the land of Letzel from Sh'hoona. He was a devout worshiper of Liberias, who smuggled himself over to the lands of the Tieflings in hopes of supporting a rebellion. As a member of the rebellion, Ranthar sought to undermine one of the most powerful of the Tiefling Houses, House Carys, and bring down their control of the city of Klasdyv.   To do this, he thought to steal one of the most important artifacts of House Carys, the Wheel of Carys, a device once used by the House's namesake to navigate the Seams. The mission failed, however, and Ranthar and his co-conspirators were captured.   On the eve of Yedimid's execution, a small will-o-wisp of a spirit approached him in his jail cell. He offered Yedimid a deal, if he were to forgo his worship of Liberias and instead dedicate himself to the spirit, the spirit could free him. Yedimid immediately agreed, seeing that Liberias, the God of Freedom, was not going to help free him.   The spirit, Kantorobo, then left Yedimid, and an hour later a guard came to release the prisoner. When asked why, the guard shrugged his shoulders, saying that a mistake must have been made, as their was no law broken. When Yedimid left the cell, he learned that reality must have been changed, for their was not now nor ever had their existed a law against trespassing in the Great Library of House Carys. Additionally, and perhaps frighteningly, the existence of the Wheel of Carys was completely erased, with no one knowing such a thing had ever existed.   Yedimid, seeing the power of this tiny Sheid held to his agreement, dedicating himself to its worship. In doing so, Kantorobo blessed Yedimid and his family, granting them assistance in thievery and destruction.

The Kantorobo Thieves Guild

The Babala family, with the support of Kantorobo grew in power as major players in the underworld. In time, they became leaders of their own Thieves Guild, which they named for their Sheid. They have, however, kept the worship of Kantorobo hidden, not wanting to provide the Dominion with more reasons to hunt them, and not wanting to possibly share the power they have received from their deity.   The spoils from running the Thieves Guild and their growth in power has also helped Kantorobo, who is no longer a small spirit, but has been slowly growing in power.

Kantorobo and Zebrin

The spoils of Northern Letzel have begun to grow stale for Kantorobo, who has approached one of his youngest worshipers, Zebrin Babala, asking him to leave the land and find new treasures for him to destroy. Thus, Zebrin has left his homeland in order to satisfy his Sheid's desire.
