100% Ribbets

Nymwaddle was formed longer ago than anyone really knows. When Hylaeus passed through on her way to create the Lure, she had talked them into protecting it. They didn't realize how deadly of a proposition that was going to be for them, though. The Ribbets of Nymwaddle are honorable folk, though, and they kept their word to protect the Lure for generations.

Now that it is broken, however, they are not likely very inclined to help repair it.

The city of Nymwaddle's kelp huts are built on giant interconnected floating lily pads on Lake Virellia. The huts vary in size, but the kelp grows thick enough in the lake that the stalks can be used as a rigid structure for the huts where the leaves are draped on top to act as waterproof rooves.

Tropical and humid despite the lack of sunlight. The plants down this far survive on chemosynthesis which is provided by underwater hydrothermal vents. The animals get their Vitamin D from the plants and from other animals. The plants and some of the animals produce their own light through bioluminescence and phosphorescence.
