Ambush at a river crossing over Severn, East of Blackwood Village

The Wrath of Hyst brought an adult red dragon from house Varnok, 20 Raiders from house Varnok, a giant gale shaman, a house Balex man-hunter, and Hyst (a spellcaster from house Varnok).   The Stromgald ambush party consisted of 10 Stromgald scouts, scout commander Pierre, Ralcem, Raven, Dari'Velen, Melora, and Bray. The Stromgald ambush party also set up 2 Scale-crack harpoon guns. The whole party was camouflaged and hidden.

The ambush was held at a little river crossing just east of the village of Blackwood. A thin wooden bridge made crossing the river slow for the raiding party. Both sides of the river were covered in tall grass and shrubbery which allowed for the ambusher's to hide with the proper camouflage.

The night air was cool and the sky was clear.

The engagement was swift and decisive. The adult red dragon was forced to land after being hit by a scale-crack harpoon gun and by Melora's spider silk bracers. Once the adult red dragon was on the ground it was dispatched in less than a minute by focused archer fire from Dari'velen and multiple scouts, and Raven carved into it with her Asylum Great-Scythe. Bray held the bridge, keeping the house Varnok raiders from crossing. Ralcem distracted the giant gale shaman by summoning a Demon orc at its feet. The man hunter leaped across the river and traded blows with some of the scouts. Once the bridge was full of raiders, Ralcem blew it up causing them to fall into the river. Bray also fell but landed on the ground and was attacked by the man-hunter, Bray crushed it's skull with his bare hands. The giant gale shaman began to flee and was sniped by Dari'Velen and his Asylum longbow. Hyst and the surviving raiders fled from the ambush site. The Stromgald ambush party lost 2 scouts.

The Stromgald ambush party gets to return home and the party of adventurers will be clear of their debt to the King.   Hyst retreats to gather himself and prepare.
