Tools of the Blood Hunters

Known to hunt unholy beasts, such as demons, Aberrations, Monstrosities, and more prominently, Vilebloods, Blood Hunters use special tools, weapons and technics to hunt down their prey. Special weapons dubbed "Trick Weapons" became common use among the various orders of hunters, with some heralded as sacred or cursed creations which await gifted wielders, such as the blades of Rakuyo and the bloody sword, Chikage, while others more commonly found are even held as gifts by figures disconnected to Orders, such as Ludwig Zarbosa, wielder of an enchanted Threaded Cane and Lawrence, wielder of a Hunter's Axe. These trick weapons are not their only advantages over the Vilebloods however, as specially crafted firearms that employ the use of a unique ammunition, Quicksilver bullets, to further weaken the monsters they face, alongside equipment such as bolt paper or bone marrow ash to strengthen themselves in combat. Finally, a special form of runic etching is employed. These Caryll Runes are bound to the very being of they who speak their incantation, allowing them to bind the benefits of these runes to themselves through special work spaces. These runes initiate a growth within the bound, though their root in the acts of Hemocraft, and even stronger connection to the twisted aberrations of the deepest depths of the multiverse, often call these benefits heretical.

The Distribution

Few are the Blood Hunters with the resources and skill to supply members of their respective parties with these elaborate tools unless they carry connections to skilled craftsmen among their number. For this reason, various groups, organizations and orders strike deals with travelling merchants and skilled inventors to supply blood hunters across the land. The few and far between skilled practitioners of hemomancy adding to the list of these wandering services.
