Leonin
At their roots, the Leonin guard the shining golden plains where even the gods rarely trespass. Prides of these nomadic, lion-like humanoids keep their traditions close and their comradery even closer, having all they need in their shimmering homeland and knowing the treachery of strangers. Still, some Leonin wonder what lies beyond, seeking to test themselves in a wider world as Regnan.
The Oreskos and the Regnan
The lion-like humanoids known as Leonin, are native to the plane of Sovereign Aít. There, their people are split between cultures. Those two being the Leonin of Oreskos, and that of the Regnan. Each have greatly divergent beliefs, and as such their lifestyle reflects them. The Leonin have long since had a proud well of culture to draw from, and the shining plains within Sovereign Aít are still spoken of as home for the Oreskos peoples, filled with rich culture this land is largely protected by the Oreskos Leonin who tend to it. Yet with the birth of Aio, not all Leonin embraced their ancient culture nearly as easily as the Oreskos, and so they were titled the Regnan for their divergent beliefs. These Regnan hold little stock in the beliefs of the Oreskos people, and while Regnan has overtime become a title to simply represent those of fully deviating beliefs than that of the Oreskos, traditionally it spoke of those who moved to radiant city of Sovereign Aít, where angels drift, and ancient civilizations of spirit touched peoples develop, such as the Kalashtar and Aasimar. There, the Regnan Leonin built a home alongside their new neighbors. This open acceptance of the Leonin did not sit well with the long since rival peoples of Sovereign Aít’s lush forests and unkempt lands where large societies of monstrous races have forged their lives. Leonin being well known for their strength and durability led the Regnan to join in the battle against the monstrous races. A war that’s plagued the lands of Sovereign Aít for generations upon generations.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
