Firearms
In the world of Aio, the continent of Vrellez forsook the use of magic in the Mad Queen, Elizabeth Yharnam's reign. It was for this reason that new technologies and militarized practices were heavily pushed, more so than previously. One of those many inventions came from the consecutive refinement of rudimentary firearms. With the Byrgenwerth Workshop being one of the most influential, using the concept of said firearms to spawn the very first Trick Weapons now used by the Blood Hunters in their practice. Nevertheless, it is nigh impossible to mass produce these technologies in the Age of Madness' climate, not to mention that many resources inherent to creating these arms run few and far between from the former's events. This limitation does not however stop many tinkers and inventors to search for the means to push engineering's limits and create new and creative weaponry such as advanced explosives or even traditional martial weapons transformed to hold firearms within.
Access & Availability
Though not a secret, the supplies needed to create firearms, and not to mention the knowledge behind their conception, is highly uncommon among the folk of The Material Plane. Within Vrellez, the capital of technological advancements, city officials such as high ranking guards or adventurer's of various kinds with connections to various workshop guilds or government ties are more likely to have access to the specialized weaponry, though even then, training with it is a whole other matter. These are at times distributed to the other major continents, but due to the strenuous relationships that were left by the Mad Queen, finding Vrellezi technologies out in the other lands is even rarer than one might initially think.
Complexity
intricate and complex as the designs are, in order to be properly crafted, modified or used, various sets of special skills are needed. These weapons are delicate, upkeep must be kept for them to function properly. The intricacy of their creation is taught in specialized programs, schools and guilds sanctioned by the government, with illicit means often being explosive disasters.
Discovery
The development of these weapons of war was derived from rough blueprints from the Age of Heroes. The evolving extremes of their uses however, are majorly adapted from one Frederick Everard, who's death was recorded to have been within 600 PS.
