Minor disturbances in the environment of the Staircase reveals to the Gods both the existence and the location of the doorway to Korun. Most gods do not take interest in it more than just expanding their influence to specific individuals of the wold. However the chaotic god Volco is offended by the existence of such a place. He ascends to it and starts to exploring searching for a way to turn this around.

Volco assends to Korun and starts looking for ways to ruin its balance. Eventualy he mendles with the right people and creatures and after thorough search he realises how he can exploit the worlds magic to undo it. To do so he gathers followers of importants positions and uses them to gain power. With their help he locates spesific landmarks of celestial power and performs his dark rituals there in order to destroy the aspect of the world that they symbolised.
